Livespace Furniture
Delivery policy

Furniture delivery needs more information than a parcel.

This policy explains how delivery is priced and scheduled, what we need to know about the site, and what to check when the furniture arrives.

1. What this policy covers

Livespace Furniture arranges delivery for furniture orders according to the products, quantities, destination, access conditions and service available for that order. Furniture may require different vehicles, handling, assembly or scheduling, so not every order can be treated like a standard parcel.

Where the checkout does not capture enough information, we may contact you before dispatch to confirm the location, access, timing and any order-specific charge.

2. Delivery charges

The client-supplied public information does not state one fixed delivery fee. Any delivery charge should therefore be confirmed for the actual order, destination, quantity and access requirements before dispatch.

If a quotation or order confirmation states a delivery charge, that written amount applies to that transaction.

Same-day delivery is the advertised service promise.

The client’s public profile states same day delivery countrywide. For a time-critical order, confirm stock readiness, destination and the actual delivery arrangement before payment.

3. Timing and scheduling

Delivery dates and time windows are estimates unless a specific appointment is confirmed in writing. Timing can be affected by stock readiness, traffic, loading, weather, supplier movement, vehicle availability, building access and the size of the order.

  • Keep the order phone number reachable on the delivery day.
  • Tell us before ordering if the furniture is required for a fixed opening, event, office move or contractor programme.
  • Large orders may be delivered in more than one load where agreed or reasonably necessary.

4. Access to the delivery site

The customer must provide an accurate address and reasonable access information. Before ordering, check gates, parking, loading restrictions, corridors, stairs, lifts, door widths and the final room.

Tell us about security clearance, restricted delivery hours, loading permits, upper floors, narrow access, construction-site requirements or any other condition that could affect safe delivery.

5. Assembly and placement

Assembly or placement is only included where it is stated for the product, quotation or order. Some furniture arrives assembled, some flat-packed, and some requires installation or specialist work.

Unless specifically agreed, delivery does not include electrical work, drilling into customer property, removal of existing furniture, building alterations, disposal of packaging or moving unrelated items.

6. Receiving and inspection

An adult or authorised representative should be available to receive the order. Where practical, check the item description, quantity, visible finish, obvious transit damage and any immediately apparent missing parts before the delivery team leaves.

A signature, OTP, delivery note or other proof of receipt may be used to confirm delivery. Signing for delivery does not remove rights relating to hidden defects that could not reasonably be identified at handover.

7. Missed or failed delivery

If delivery cannot be completed because no authorised person is available, the address is incorrect, access was not disclosed, the site refuses entry or the customer requests a last-minute change, redelivery or waiting charges may apply.

We will tell you the next available arrangement and any additional cost before the second attempt.

8. Corporate, project and multi-item delivery

Bulk orders may require a delivery plan rather than a standard checkout fee. We may agree delivery phases, floor-by-floor allocation, site contacts, delivery notes, installation windows or other project instructions in the quotation.

The accepted quotation and written project instructions take priority where they contain more specific delivery terms.

9. Deliveries outside normal routes

For locations outside our normal delivery routes, we may use an independent courier, transporter or freight provider. Their route schedule and handling conditions can affect timing and collection arrangements.

We will confirm the proposed method and charge before dispatch where the standard website service does not apply.

10. Wrong, incomplete or visibly damaged goods

If the wrong product or quantity arrives, or an item has visible transit damage, tell the delivery team where possible and contact Livespace Furniture promptly with the order reference, product details and clear photographs.

Do not carry out unauthorised repairs or modifications while the issue is being assessed.

11. Address, quantity and order changes

Contact us as soon as possible if the delivery address, contact person, quantity or timing changes. Once an order has been loaded, dispatched or committed to a third-party carrier, a change may no longer be possible without additional cost.

12. Delays outside reasonable control

We will make reasonable efforts to keep confirmed arrangements, but delivery may be affected by events outside reasonable control including severe weather, road closures, vehicle breakdown, supplier interruption, public restrictions, security incidents or other transport disruption.

Where a material delay occurs, we will communicate the revised plan as soon as reasonably practical.
